A Pair of Islamic Ceramic Chess Pieces, Possibly 10th–12th Century.
A pair of ceramic chess pieces comprising one stylised animal-shaped piece, likely representing an elephant or mounted figure, and one abstract rectangular piece with a raised scrolling rosette motif on the front. Both pieces are coated in a dark glaze with lighter exposed areas along the base and carved details.
