A Near Eastern Black Stone Bowl with Processional Relief Figures, circa 2nd–1st Millennium BC.
A carved black-stone bowl featuring a continuous frieze of deeply incised processional figures. The exterior shows a line of standing male figures wearing pointed or crested headdresses, each holding staffs or ritual objects, alternating with scenes of mounted riders on bovine animals. The figures are rendered in high, crisp relief, with exaggerated profiles and layered garments. Two circular perforations appear at the centre of the main panel, likely ancient suspension or repair holes.
