A Roman Bronze Standing Figure of Fortuna, 3rd–4th Century AD.
A bronze standing figure of Fortuna, the Roman goddess of fortune, dating to the 3rd–4th century AD. The goddess is shown upright with a slender body, rounded breasts, and defined waist, her posture gently swayed to one side. She wears a long, fitted garment that falls straight to the feet, with lightly incised folds. Her head is crowned with a long ponytail or veil-like hair arrangement that extends down her back in a narrow strand.
