An Old Akkadian Jasper Cylinder Seal with Dedication Scene to Shamash, c. 1800 BC.
A finely carved jasper cylinder seal showing a procession of standing figures facing a seated deity beneath a crescent, interpreted as a dedication scene to the sun-god Shamash. The surface carries clearly defined carved robes, arm gestures, and a column of cuneiform signs to the side. Shown with its impressed image, revealing the full continuous narrative.
