A Chinese Openwork Jade Plaque with Confronted Dragon-Head Terminals.
The plaque is carved from pale grey jade with areas of warm russet and honey-toned inclusions, forming a gently arched silhouette. Both ends terminate in stylised dragon heads shown in profile, with curling brows, rounded eyes, and open mouths rendered in low relief. The central body is pierced with symmetrical openwork scrolls and cloud-like motifs, arranged in layered bands that follow the curve of the form.
