A Chinese Doucai Stem Bowl with Lotus and Dragon Motifs, Xuande Mark.
The stem bowl is finely decorated in doucai enamels, featuring lotus blossoms and leafy scrolls interspersed with swimming mandarin ducks around the exterior, beneath a band of blue dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls. The stem foot is encircled by wave patterns, while the interior is painted with lotus blooms and ducks within double-line borders, surrounded by a band of archaic script along the rim. The base bears a six-character Da Ming Xuande Nian Zhi mark in underglaze blue, The base bears a six-character Kangxi mark enclosed within double circles, possibly indicating the period or origin of the piece.
