A Jain Purushagar Yantra (Cosmic Man) Textile Scroll, Rajasthan – A Jain Purushagar Yantra (Cosmic Man) from Rajasthan. This painted textile scroll or banner depicts a stylized anthropomorphic figure formed by a grid of checkered and solid brown panels. Rendered in a schematic folk art style, the central figure features brown skin tones, yellow stylized headgear, and red dotted elements. Its segmented torso and limbs contain numerous smaller seated figures, symbolic motifs such as pots and birds, and further inscriptions. Extensive inscriptions in Devanagari script, accompanied by numerous numerical notations, are present both surrounding the figure and within its internal compartments, with a prominent header reading "॥पुरुषागार यन्त्रम्॥". Executed on a light brown woven textile with opaque pigments.
