A Chinese Metal Teapot with High-Relief Dragon Decoration and Amber-Toned Finial.
Of rounded form, the body is densely worked in high relief with a sinuous five-clawed dragon emerging through scrolling cloud motifs, the scales, whiskers, and mane rendered in bold, textured detail. The short spout and arched handle are fully integrated into the design, both worked with a granular surface that complements the surrounding relief. The fitted lid is decorated with raised cloud scrolls and surmounted by a warm amber-coloured spherical finial.
