A Chinese Polychrome Seated Bodhisattva Figure.
A carved wooden figure depicting a serene Bodhisattva seated in meditation, shown with hands resting in dhyana mudra upon the lap. The figure wears flowing robes painted in muted red and green pigments over a cream-toned ground, with visible craquelure throughout the surface. The face is gently modelled with downcast eyes, arched brows, and a small urna to the forehead, conveying a calm and contemplative expression. The hair is arranged beneath an elaborate headdress, and the chest is adorned with a layered necklace.
