A Chinese Famille Verte Porcelain Vase with Courtly Figures, Kangxi Mark.
Of baluster form with tall neck, decorated in famille verte palette depicting a continuous courtly scene with officials, attendants and scholars within architectural and landscape settings. The neck painted with further narrative vignettes and decorative borders. The base bearing a six-character mark reading “大清康熙年製” (Made in the Kangxi period of the Great Qing). The enamels finely detailed with soft green, iron-red and blue tones, the reverse featuring landscape elements including pine trees and rockwork.
