A Chinese Celadon Glazed Porcelain Moon Flask Vase, Qianlong Mark –
A Chinese celadon glazed porcelain moon flask vase, bearing a Qianlong mark to the base. The moonflask-shaped ceramic vase exhibits a monochromatic pale blue-green glaze reminiscent of celadon. Its globular body is adorned with raised relief decoration depicting two five-clawed dragons amidst swirling clouds, encircling a central circular medallion featuring the stylized Chinese character ‘寿’ (Shou), meaning Longevity. The short cylindrical neck has vertical fluting, and two stylized zoomorphic handles connect the neck to the shoulder. The vase stands on a flared foot, with an unglazed reddish-brown footrim visible on the underside, which also bears a square, seal-form mark on its recessed base.
