An Islamic Carved Red Agate Intaglio Seal Stone with Calligraphic Inscription.
An oval Islamic agate seal stone carved from richly coloured red agate with soft natural banding visible across the polished surface. The reverse is finely engraved in intaglio with a central oval cartouche enclosing flowing Arabic calligraphy, surrounded by a border of additional script interspersed with small floral and dotted motifs.
