A Framed Printed Silk Scarf Commemorating Anglo–Russian Musical Collaboration, Featuring “God Save the Tsar” and “God Save the King”.

A decorative printed silk scarf commemorating a musical and diplomatic collaboration between Russia and England, featuring patriotic anthems rendered with accompanying sheet music. The design incorporates titled compositions including “God Save Our Noble Tsar, ” “God Save the King, ” “The Marseillaise, ” and “La Brabançonne, ” arranged symmetrically within a rope-twist border.

Each anthem is illustrated with musical notation and decorative vignettes incorporating national flags and allegorical motifs, reflecting a spirit of international unity and ceremonial exchange. The combination of British, Russian, French, and Belgian anthems suggests a late 19th or early 20th century context of alliance and diplomatic goodwill.

Provenance: Acquired Piccadilly Arcade, London, 1970s.

Approximately 62 x 62cm (incl. frame)
