A collection of eight die-cast metal model cars produced by Bburago in Italy, all representing the 1937 Jaguar SS100 in 1:18 scale. The assembly includes four models housed in their original retail packaging and four unboxed examples. The boxed units consist of two models finished in silver paint with red interior seating and two models finished in red paint with cream interiors. The unboxed group features three models in British Racing Green with cream interiors and one model finished in a white and blue two-tone scheme with a red interior. Each model is constructed from die-cast metal with plastic interior components, clear plastic windscreens, and rubber tyres. Functional elements typically include opening bonnets, opening doors, and a working steering mechanism linked to the front wheels. The front and rear of the green models feature black and white printed license plates reading DLX 801. The rubber tyres are moulded with the brand name CONTINENTAL. The retail packaging consists of black and gold cardboard window boxes. A printed yellow and red logo on the boxes and the underside of the vehicles reads Bburago. The box fronts feature printed text including DIE-CAST METAL MODEL, JAGUAR SS 100 (1937), and the product code cod. 3006.
Condition report:
The models appear to be in good displayed condition overall. The unboxed white and blue model shows accumulated dust and minor paint loss along the edges of the blue wings (photo 3). The three green unboxed models appear complete with windscreens and headlamps intact (photo 2). The four boxed models remain secured within their packaging; however, the boxes show visible signs of shelf wear. This includes softening and scuffing to the cardboard corners, light creasing to the box faces, and surface scratching to the clear plastic windows. One box for a red model displays a significant diagonal crease across the upper right corner of the front face (photo 1).
