A Chinese celadon-glazed stoneware tripod censer of compressed globular form. The vessel features a short neck rising to a wide, everted, and flattened rim, supported by three tapering cabriole-style legs. The body is decorated with three vertical raised ribs or flanges extending from the shoulder to each foot. The item is covered in a thick, unctuous, pale bluish-green glaze with an all-over network of fine crazing. The interior base displays three dark circular kiln support marks.

Acquired in 1978 by J Honeychurch Antiques, Hollywood Road, Central, Hong Kong.
Condition report:
Significant irregular chip to the outer edge of the rim measuring approximately 2-3cm in width. Extensive fine crackle throughout the glaze. Minor kiln imperfections including small dark pits and iron spots. Surface dirt and staining present, particularly around the rim and flanges. Unglazed feet show natural wear and minor abrasions. Small piece of adhesive tape to the interior rim.
