An Ottoman-style calligraphic panel, executed in black, blue, red and gilt on paper, featuring an elaborate arrangement of Arabic devotional inscriptions. The composition is centred by three symmetrical calligraphic medallions, surrounded by elongated cartouches and smaller panels of script, with repeated invocations of Allah to the corners. The ground is richly embellished with gilt floral and scrolling decoration, the inscriptions outlined with coloured and gilt borders. Presented mounted within a glazed black frame.
