The lower section features a band of turbulent waves and jagged rockwork, known as the terrestrial mountain motif. The shoulder is adorned with a decorative band of ruyi-heads and scrolling foliage, and the short, straight neck is finished with a repeating sawtooth or triangular pattern. The base is glazed white and slightly recessed.

Condition report:

The jar is in good overall condition. It is currently lacking its original cover. There are minor firing imperfections consistent with production, including small pinholes and pitting in the glaze on the base and some kiln grit adhering to the unglazed foot rim.
